Pub Golf!

Last night I went out for the first time in 3 months! My boyfriend and his friends were playing pub golf (if you have never played it, it is a bar crawl where the aim is to score the lowest in the group by downing each drink in as many swallows as possible).

I made the very good decision not to play. My tolerance for alcohol has never recovered since having a baby and I would have been sick early on if I had mixed my drinks so badly! Instead I stuck to vodka and Cranberries all night (as well as a random shot of Sambuca).

I had a really good night and it was nice to meet some more of my boyfriend's friends. Apart from being pretty tired today I didn't have much of a hangover. My nan's sunday lunch definitely helped!

As I have Cameron, I now longer have the urge to go out and get drunk much, but every now and then it is nice to be able to go out and let my hair down and I am so grateful to have a mum as amazing as mine who loves having Cameron. I am so pleased they have such a close relationship.

My Weekend!

Another reason I have been a bit slow on Blogging lately, other than the near death of my laptop, was a visit from my lovely friend Katie this weekend! I met Katie through More Magazine's Facebook page a year and a half ago and have met quite a few times since and we talk online a lot as well. Katie said she needed some cheering up, so the first thing I did in preparation for her arrival on Friday was to stock up on lots of junk food!

Katie arrived in the evening and met my boyfriend Tim, and we all hung out over my mum's for a bit before going over to my flat (my mum very kindly looked after Cameron both nights Katie was down so that we could drink alcohol and have a relax). I cooked a pizza, but because we were catching up and drinking Bellinis, I managed to burn the pizza!

So we ended up ordering Pizza Hut pizza instead which was so yummy! We got a medium pizza to share with two sides: cheesey garlic bread and delicious chicken strips, so in a way it was a good thing I burnt the pizza!

We decided, after a few Bellinis, to put my Christmas tree up which was quite amusing. It looked so good when we had finished though!

On Saturday, my mum dropped Cameron round and we all had a chilled out morning at my flat before going shopping. We bought some more yummy food including curries and snacks to eat whilst watching the X Factor that night. In the afternoon we went over my mum's flat and chilled out watching TV and Bridesmaids on DVD, and ate food pretty much all afternoon and evening (not a great weekend for the figure!)....

My mum came back and we opened a bottle of wine and had our curries and watched X Factor. We did have a second bottle of wine to drink, but it tasted really horrible, like red wine even though it was a Rose! So in the end we just chilled out some more watching I'm a Celebrity, and then went back to mine to go to bed.

On Sunday we had a bit of a lie in and then Katie went home. I went into town with my boyfriend for drinks and, largely due to the fact that I hadn't eaten anything all day, I got pretty drunk on only a few glasses of wine. It was a very funny weekend all in all!

The Worst Hangover Ever?

Last night I went out with my brother, his girlfriend and my cousin to celebrate passing University (I collected my results the other day and I got a 2:2, yay!). I rarely ever go out, it was the first time in months, so I found it hard to cope with drinking and therefore got very drunk very fast. I managed to lose my bag, which was found by the bar staff this morning, with my iPhone and Drivers License taken from it.

I was absolutely gutted and very cross at myself for getting drunk enough to lose my bag! I didn't have phone insurance so Orange did nothing, but block the phone, and offer me a replacement iPhone 3G for £316. I thought that was a rip off, so looked at second hand iPhones on eBay, but then decided they might have hidden faults or not be worth the money, so instead I asked my brother and cousin for advice and they suggested I try and buy out of my contract and start a new one with a free iPhone 4, which is what I have done! I am getting it with my old flat deposit which I got back, so I don't feel as bad about the money, and it worked out cheaper than buying the iPhone 3GS or 4 from Apple, so that was a result!

I get my new phone in a few days, and am very excited! I have to look for a new case now, as although I have taken out insurance this time round, there is no way I want to risk breaking this one after having the last one stolen! iPhones are very valuable items!!

I think it is disgusting that someone stole my license and phone, and have lost things like photos of Cameron's party, that I won't ever get back. Makes me sick to know there are people like that in the World!

10 Day Friend Challenge: Day 6: The friend that you act crazy with

Sealy has been one of my best friends since we were 16 and I think generally we do the craziest things when we are together. We have gone on random road trips, gone for spur of the moment meals and nights out and we have lived together twice which was amazing as it meant we could share each others clothes and beauty products! I can be totally open with Sealy and we often get changed in front of each other etc as we are totally comfortable around each other. Love her!
