This Week I.... Went to the Seaside!

Yes, I know I live right by the sea so this might not seem surprising, but at the beginning of the week I went to a couple of different seasides for a mini break with my mum, my nan and Cameron. We went to Brighton on Sunday where we met up with one of my best friends who is also pregnant. As she lives in Brighton I haven't seen her for quite a long time so it was nice to catch up. We went to the park across the road from our hotel and had a nice lunch and played with Cameron in the swing park.

In the early evening we went to the seafront and walked along the pier before going for dinner at the Harvester by the beach.

In the morning we went to Eastbourne where we were staying the second night. We met up with my aunt and some of my cousins and had a picnic in the park. Cameron got to play with his second cousin Spencer who he adores, they are so cute together!

We went back to the hotel and ended up having takeaway pizza for dinner. In the morning we went for a cooked breakfast at Toby Carvery before driving home, so yummy!

It was a lovely couple of days away and made the week go a bit quicker too, bonus!

I'm Poorly....again!!

So I told you all about my weekend plans in Brighton... well, in the end it turned out to be a bit of a disaster when I ended up getting very ill on Friday evening.

I had been feeling a bit unwell since I arrived, with a sore throat and a bit achey, but it wasn't until we arrived back at the hotel that evening that I was shivering and feeling absolutely awful. I got straight into bed and then spent the night tossing and turning, hallucinating with a fever. I ended up stripping all my clothes off but kept going from hot to cold, and I was sweating loads as well. It was an awful night.

In the morning my throat was in agony, I couldn't swallow without a huge amount of pain, and I still felt absolutely awful, achey and weak. My mum got me an appointment at a local doctors surgery and, after having our breakfast at lightening speed, we went to find out what was wrong with me.

Turns out I have severe tonsilitis and I was given strong antibiotics to get rid of it. I have taken 3 tablets so far and am feeling a little better. I am so fed up that it totally ruined my weekend away though. I did still have a good time on the Friday, but Saturday was mostly spent lying in a park in the sun. We did go for lunch with my friend Aimee though, and I met my friend Louise briefly, though as she is pregnant, I didn't want to stay for too long in case I gave her my germs.

The car journey back was a bit of a blur as I slept most of it. We got home a lot earlier than I originally planned, but it turned out ok as I watched the X Factor before getting an early night. I am hoping that I get over this pretty soon as I have only just got better from the flu. My immune system is obviously pretty weak at the moment. Any tips for building it up again would be most appreciated!

Exciting Weekend Plans!

Ok so tomorrow morning I am going to sunny Brighton with my mum and Cameron to go and drop some baby clothes to a friend, and then meet up with my best friend Aimee who I haven't seen in months and months and who has just moved there.

We are staying in a lovely hotel right on the seafront and Aimee has very kindly offered to look after Cameron with her boyfriend whilst me and my mum go out for a meal, which will be really nice. The rest of the time we are there will be spent doing the whole tourist thing. My mum wants to go to the Pavillion and I have my sights set on the arcade and have heard some amazing things about a museum there as well.

We are coming back Saturday night, but I am fitting in as much as I can in the time we are away as I don't get away as much as I would like (although having said that, we go away again a couple of weekends later to visit my dad and brother in London).

I am most excited to be seeing Aimee and meeting my friend Louise, who is ready to give birth at any moment!

I won't be blogging this weekend, so I hope you all have a great weekend whatever you get up to!

Looking Forward To: My Plans for the Next Couple of Months

I was totally planning on doing this as an Autumn plans post back at the start of the month, but never got round to it... I have quite an exciting couple of months coming up.

Mid October:

I am going to Brighton a mini break for the weekend to visit my best friend Aimee and her boyfriend, who have just moved up there from Cornwall! I am also going to hopefully be meeting an online friend, Louise, who is heavily pregnant, as I am giving her some of Cameron's baby clothes!

29th October:

This is my cousin Aaron's 20th birthday. I am not sure yet what his plans are, but if he is in Bournemouth for it no doubt there will be a meal at some point, and me, Aaron and wine makes for an entertaining meal!

End of October:

My brother and his girlfriend, who currently live in Newcastle, are going to be in London for the weekend and my mum and I would love to see them for a bit whilst they are there as we don't see much of them because of the distance! I think we might be going to visit my dad in Essex around this time as well, so lots of catching up and family times.

November 9th:

This is a very exciting date as it is the day I graduate! I was still unsure up until last week whether I would be passing my degree, as I was awaiting the results of my dissertation. I found out that I had indeed passed, with a 2:2, so that means I will be graduating, alongside the rest of my course! I feel very proud of myself for managing to finish my final year, with a newborn baby, and will be so pleased to stand up and accept my degree after such a long and intense year!

Mid November:

I can't tell you one of the reasons that this month will be extra exciting just yet, but it is going to be amazing! On top of that, it is one of my best friend Sealy's birthday on 16th, and my mum's on 14th, so lots of celebrations and fun times to be had.

End of November/Beginning of December:

I love this time of year in general as it is when I do my Christmas shopping! I am not one for leaving it until the last minute and getting all stressed out and squashed by the crowds! Instead I make sure pretty much everything is bought and ready for wrapping by early December, and then I will just get a few extra bits and then wrap the presents towards the end of the month so I still have something to look forward to. I am a big kid and I absolutely LOVE Christmas so this is something I am majorly looking forward to! 94 sleeps to go!! (I have an app, I am not a complete loser to sit and work that out myself!)

Do you have any exciting plans for the next couple of months? Are you excited about Christmas? Or does the mere thought of that time of year fill you with dread?
