My Weekend: Celebrate Good Times!

This weekend, as anticipated, has been a good one. On Friday I went to Frankie and Bennies for a meal to celebrate my graduation with my family and boyfriend. It was a great night and my family, who hadn't met my boyfriend properly before, really liked him which is always a bonus...

I had a meatball calzone, which was so yummy!

On Saturday I spent the morning with my boyfriend and Cameron and then went over my best friend Sealy's in the afternoon, had some lunch with her, and watched Desperate Housewives snuggled up in front of her fire. In the evening I went over my mum's and we watched X Factor. My mum was very happy that Amelia Lilly went back in, despite rumours it was a total fix!

Today has been a long day. I had a lie in which was lovely, and then paid my mum back by spending the rest of the morning and early afternoon tidying her flat. We went for a walk along the beach with Cameron and my nan, which was freezing, before going back to hers to get ready for her birthday meal. We went to one of her favourite restaurants- The Shah of Persia, which has a really good menu. I decided to have the Chicken Tikka Masala, and am glad I did as it was really nice!

When we got back to my mum's we watched the X Factor results on plus one, I already knew who went out as I had gone on Facebook and ruined it for myself.

Bye Bye Kitty....

Tomorrow morning I have to be up bright and early for my 'top secret plans' so will be getting a relatively early evening. I hope everyone has had a good weekend and enjoyed whatever you got up to!

Girls- Our Own Worst Enemy

Late last night as I was just getting ready to go to sleep I saw that the stars of TOWIE were all sending their love and best wishes to Sam and Billie, sisters on the show, via Twitter. I was confused but soon a message appeared with a link to the story, the sisters had both been attacked on a night out by a gang of girls.

Sam and Billie on their night out...

Reading further into it this morning I discovered that Billie had her designer handbag, which contained her phone, stolen. When her and Sam had complained about the girls that stole the bag to the bouncers, they had been kicked out of the club which angered them. When Billie left the club she was attacked. The girls managed to get away and went home, but later Sam was called by the girls who had stolen the bag, on Billie's phone, and was told to meet them in a field to get the items back.

Billie during the attacks, caught on camera phone

Sam reportedly took a friend and went to meet them, probably a pretty stupid move anyway, but when they arrived they were attacked by a gang of ten girls. Sam was then beaten so badly that she was said to have been 'left for dead', and had to have a brain scan when she arrived at hospital. This horrific attack is sadly not that uncommon, but the high profile of the TV stars meant that it was highlighted more than a usual case would have been.

The attack made front line news of the tabloids today

What is appalling is that these girls felt the need to attack other girls. What happened to girls sticking together? A lot of the stars of the show have taken to Twitter to write their best wishes, and the majority have mentioned jealousy as a motive, hence the fact that the bag was stolen at first. Jealousy is not an excuse for mindless violence! I would love the lifestyles of some of the girls on the show, but I would never go up to them in a club, steal their bag, and then proceed to beat them up because of this! I am disgusted that women can be capable of this thuggish behaviour. Having just had my phone stolen on a night out in town I can relate to that part of the ordeal, and know that if I had seen the girl who stole my phone I would have probably ended up in some sort of a fight, so in a way I am lucky she was so cowardly as to steal it when my back was turned.

It is not just physical violence between girls that has been making the news lately though, on this weekend's X Factor, Tulisa took the backstage bullying between Mischa B and other contestants to the spotlight, mentioning that Mischa's attitude and actions towards others should be taken into account by viewers of the show. I think Tulisa was wrong to say this on the live show, with Mischa unable to even defend herself, and this in itself could be construed as bullying, however, I do think it is disgusting that Mischa has been so nasty to fellow contestants. She has also reportedly been going around saying she is the clear winner, and, having been following her on Twitter, I have seen how big headed she has already become, with an army of impressionable tweens following her every move, and every word. I think the X Factor should take action against bullies and Mischa should no longer be allowed on the show.

The Judges argue during Tulisa's 'attack' on Mischa B

Bully... Mischa B
Girl on girl violence, whether physical or mental, is not acceptable and I hope both the girls responsible for the attacks on Sam and Billie, and Mischa B are given the appropriate punishment for their crimes.

Friday Feelings 7th October

Ok so as you know by now I have had an awful week of being ill... luckily I seem to be coming out of the worst of it now and am starting to feel better. Today I went out for lunch with my mum, Cameron, my cousin Aaron, and my nan. We went to Wetherspoons and me and Aaron had the 'beer and a burger' deal, though I had a glass of Rose with mine! It was quite nice, though I am getting a bit tired of burgers as I only had one yesterday!

After lunch we did a bit of shopping and then hung around my nan's for a bit. It was so cold today, really felt like Winter was here! When we got back to my mum's we even put the heating on, it was that cold! I watched a film with my mum and we had a feast of ice cream, blackberries and strawberries. Yum!

I have also been busy writing my latest guest blog for Singles Warehouse. My latest blog went up on Tuesday, and my first ever Vlog went up this evening and can be found here. I would love it if you could have a look and let me know your thoughts!

I hope everyone has had a better week than me! Have you got any exciting plans for the weekend? Or are you going to be glued to the TV for the first live show of the X Factor?

Nights in are the New Nights Out!

I am not ashamed to say it, I am a little bit addicted to Autumn TV at the moment.... I am obsessed with TOWIE (as you may have noticed) which is on Sunday and Wednesday nights. I also love Glee, which is on Thursdays, after my exercise class, and then X Factor which is on Saturday and Sunday nights! Who needs a social life when you have that much on TV?! Not me! (Which is good, as I have no time for a social life anymore!)

Considering how much I love TV, it is not surprising that I love Sundays at the moment.. Today I had a great time in the sun before coming back to my mum's and spending the afternoon baking a homemade pie and some homemade chocolate brownies for dinner! Both were delicious (if I do say so myself!) and I had a great time watching The X Factor, then Downton Abbey and TOWIE before finishing the evening off with a Family Guy double.. Perfection!

30 Day Celebrity Challenge: Day 28: Current celebrity crush #5

I don't know if it's because she is the one who replaced the awful Cheryl Cole on the X Factor, or the fact that she is a bit of a bad girl... but I have definitely got a bit of a girl crush on Tulisa right now! Makes the X Factor more interesting anyway....

Saturday Summary (in place of Friday Feelings!) 1st October

I have not blogged properly for a few days as I have, for once, been a bit of a social butterfly and have spent some time with a couple of lovely friends of mine the past two evenings.

Me and my old friend Sam last night messing around with an app on my phone!
I have also been out a lot due to the unseasonably hot weather we have been having! It has been so hot today that I was too hot sitting wearing a tiny sundress!! Crazy weather considering it is now October! I had put all of my summer wardrobe away and stocked up on jumpers and jeans!

Today was spent sunbathing and having a lovely picnic in a local park and tonight is going to be a nice relaxing evening with a curry, some chocolate, the X-Factor, and watching No Strings Attached, which I bought today (it has my girl crush Natalie Portman in it so I have high expectations!).

I have also developed a worrying obsession to the awful Cher Lloyd's song Swagger Jagger in the past few days as it is played during my exercise class and as a result now gives me happy endorphines when I hear it, nooooo!! I even went as far as downloading it in iTunes to my phone... *hangs head in shame*

Tomorrow I am planning on cooking a homemade pie for my family as my nan, who usually cooks the family Sunday lunch, is away in London this weekend to celebrate her birthday, which was last weekend, with my aunt, and go to see a show. I am totally looking forward to it as I love pie! I am also going to attempt to bake something delicious from my baking recipe book, this time it has to be chocolatey though!

What have you been up to this sunny weekend? Are you an X-Factor fan? Which category are you betting on winning?

Pictures of the Day: 24th September

I wanted to do this as pictures of the day and include some photos from my day spent on the beach, but I wasn't able to rotate them successfully for some reason... So instead, here is the absolutely yummy dinner I had tonight at a meal to celebrate my nan's birthday (it is half eaten as I couldn't wait and had already demolished one wrap!). It was heavenly! Will definitely be getting that again next time! We had a great night out celebrating, and then went back to my nan's for X Factor and Chocolate and Vanilla Swirl Cheesecake. It was a great night!

X Factor USA Has Not Got the X Factor

Did anyone else watch the X Factor USA? I thought it was awful! The americans seemed to be a lot more over the top.. And the reaction of Paula Abdul was just ridiculous! I won't be watching it again....
