My Favourite Blogs of 2011 Award
Rather than give out the blog awards that seem to keep going round and round, I thought I would create my own and present an award for my top 5 blogs of 2011.
Life of a Sweetaholic - Rachel is a self confessed sweetaholic and this definitely comes through in her blog, though I can confirm that her love of food and all things yummy doesn't stop with confectionary. We share a lot of the same food cravings and I have really loved getting to know her better through her blog but also through Facebook. A gorgeous, genuinely lovely girl with a blog I don't mind admitting I am a tiny bit jealous of. A must read!
Confessions of a Small Town Girl - Charlotte is another genuinely lovely girl and this really comes across in her writing. She is a total inspiration to me, not least because having just read her highlights of 2011 I have realised she has done most of my resolutions for this year already! Her writing style totally draws you in and I have also loved finding more out about her through her more personal, and often bittersweet personal posts. Another must read!
Futures - Bex is someone I started talking to more since she became pregnant and I am so glad as she is a lovely girl and now a brilliant mummy too. I really felt for her when she went overdue with her son and am so happy for her now she has joined the yummy mummy club. Her blog is great as it has so much variety. The posts are a little less often than some of the other blogs I read, but what she lacks in quantity she more than makes up for in quality. Excellent!
Egt x3 - I don't speak to Emily as I do some of the others in this list, but I am an avid reader of her blog. It is everything I look for in a blog: cute, girly, well written with plenty of pictures and allows Emily's bubbly personality to really shine through.
Cosmetics, Kittens and Classrooms - Again, I haven't spoken much to Lauren, but I have seen her post on More Magazine's Facebook page and follow her on Twitter and she is one of the more interesting of Tweeters. I love her blog. She is relatively new to the blogging scene but has already established a strong following and has genuine rapport with her readers, which I think it very important with a blog. Another very girl blog, I love how Lauren's love of products, makeup and fashion comes across in her writing and always check back to see what she has been up to.
These blogs are definitely all worth a follow. I do follow lots more, but these stand out as my favourites. Each is individual and well written and keeps me coming back for more, the recipe for a perfect blog.
