Project 365 #52 and #53, 54, 55 Essex, Baby!

Ooops, I have been a very bad blogger and haven't written a post in a few days! On Thursday I had a much needed shopping trip after a stressful few days. I bought lots of new things for Cameron to wear from George at Asda and I got myself a new top from H&M and some new shoes from New Look. I also bought a photoframe from Sainsbury's as it was reduced by 70%! I had a relaxed night in with my mum that night, watching Life as We Know It, which I thought was ok but nothing special really.

After our shopping trip, totally worn out but happy (can't remember why I didn't upload any photos of my purchases!)

Friday was spent packing and then travelling up to Essex with Cameron and my boyfriend, who was meeting my dad and little sister for the first time. Luckily everyone got on well and that night we went out to an Indian Restaurant and I had a yummy Jalfrezi. I decided to try the lamb for a change and it was very nice. Cameron was really well behaved, even though he was up past his bedtime, and had a whole table full of old people cooing over him as he waved bye bye to them, too sweet! When we got home we watched Paul before going to bed, knackered!

Cameron decided to wear his sunglasses for the Indian meal..... strange child!

Saturday we were up early and went out to a nearby cafe for breakfast. I had a cooked breakfast which was really nice, and Cameron had some beans and scrambled eggs which he managed to get EVERYWHERE!

After breakfast we decided to go down to the nearby canal and we had a nice walk along there looking at all the barges. Cameron wore himself out running along and trying to break into all the barges!

In the afternoon we went to a play park for Cameron, though me, my sister and my boyfriend all went on the swings as well haha. We went food shopping and got some things for dinner and then picked up some lunch. Everyone was exhausted after eating so we all crashed out watching tv.

In the evening my dad cooked steak and chips for him and my boyfriend, and me and my sister had a lovely chicken in tomato and mozzarella sauce with new potatoes and veg. Cameron had his favourite, spaghetti bolognese. We watched Take Me Out and then Shallow Hal. It was a lovely chilled out evening.

Today was another early start (aren't all mornings when you have an 18 month old toddler?!) and my dad cooked us some yummy sausage and bacon rolls.

My boyfriend and Cameron helped out my dad with some gardening before it was time for us to go back home. I even got to have a nap in the car as my boyfriend drove, bonus! The rest of today was really lazy as I had Sunday lunch before washing my hair and just getting into my PJs at 2pm! I am looking forward to Desperate Housewives and chocolate later with my mum.

Great weekend! Hope everyone else had a good one too!

My Weekend!

Another reason I have been a bit slow on Blogging lately, other than the near death of my laptop, was a visit from my lovely friend Katie this weekend! I met Katie through More Magazine's Facebook page a year and a half ago and have met quite a few times since and we talk online a lot as well. Katie said she needed some cheering up, so the first thing I did in preparation for her arrival on Friday was to stock up on lots of junk food!

Katie arrived in the evening and met my boyfriend Tim, and we all hung out over my mum's for a bit before going over to my flat (my mum very kindly looked after Cameron both nights Katie was down so that we could drink alcohol and have a relax). I cooked a pizza, but because we were catching up and drinking Bellinis, I managed to burn the pizza!

So we ended up ordering Pizza Hut pizza instead which was so yummy! We got a medium pizza to share with two sides: cheesey garlic bread and delicious chicken strips, so in a way it was a good thing I burnt the pizza!

We decided, after a few Bellinis, to put my Christmas tree up which was quite amusing. It looked so good when we had finished though!

On Saturday, my mum dropped Cameron round and we all had a chilled out morning at my flat before going shopping. We bought some more yummy food including curries and snacks to eat whilst watching the X Factor that night. In the afternoon we went over my mum's flat and chilled out watching TV and Bridesmaids on DVD, and ate food pretty much all afternoon and evening (not a great weekend for the figure!)....

My mum came back and we opened a bottle of wine and had our curries and watched X Factor. We did have a second bottle of wine to drink, but it tasted really horrible, like red wine even though it was a Rose! So in the end we just chilled out some more watching I'm a Celebrity, and then went back to mine to go to bed.

On Sunday we had a bit of a lie in and then Katie went home. I went into town with my boyfriend for drinks and, largely due to the fact that I hadn't eaten anything all day, I got pretty drunk on only a few glasses of wine. It was a very funny weekend all in all!

My Weekend: Celebrate Good Times!

This weekend, as anticipated, has been a good one. On Friday I went to Frankie and Bennies for a meal to celebrate my graduation with my family and boyfriend. It was a great night and my family, who hadn't met my boyfriend properly before, really liked him which is always a bonus...

I had a meatball calzone, which was so yummy!

On Saturday I spent the morning with my boyfriend and Cameron and then went over my best friend Sealy's in the afternoon, had some lunch with her, and watched Desperate Housewives snuggled up in front of her fire. In the evening I went over my mum's and we watched X Factor. My mum was very happy that Amelia Lilly went back in, despite rumours it was a total fix!

Today has been a long day. I had a lie in which was lovely, and then paid my mum back by spending the rest of the morning and early afternoon tidying her flat. We went for a walk along the beach with Cameron and my nan, which was freezing, before going back to hers to get ready for her birthday meal. We went to one of her favourite restaurants- The Shah of Persia, which has a really good menu. I decided to have the Chicken Tikka Masala, and am glad I did as it was really nice!

When we got back to my mum's we watched the X Factor results on plus one, I already knew who went out as I had gone on Facebook and ruined it for myself.

Bye Bye Kitty....

Tomorrow morning I have to be up bright and early for my 'top secret plans' so will be getting a relatively early evening. I hope everyone has had a good weekend and enjoyed whatever you got up to!

My Weekend Plans

So, as you all know by now, I graduated Wednesday and tonight I am going out for a meal with my family and boyfriend to celebrate. I was going to go for a Mexican restaurant, but nobody else really likes the food so instead we are going to Frankie and Bennies.

It is a double celebration as my brother just found out he has got onto the Kwik Fit apprenticeship, one of 6 from 6,000!

Tomorrow's plans are yet to be made, but on Sunday we are going for another meal for my mum's birthday, which is on Monday.

I also have some exciting top secret plans for Monday as well, which I will let you know about when I can!

Hope everyone has a great weekend whatever you are getting up to!

My Long Weekend... London, baby!

Sorry I haven't blogged over the weekend, I had quite a hectic one for a change!

On Friday I had my hair cut and coloured and had a chill out in front of the TV night but bright and early Saturday morning I was up and playing taxi for a variety of people. I took my mum to a wedding in town and decided to go Christmas shopping. Big mistake! I did get quite a bit done, but it was so hectic because it was a Saturday. I am definitely going to be finishing Christmas shopping by mid November, I hate crowds!

After I had picked my mum back up we went to the bowling alley to meet up with my cousin, whose birthday it was. I was exhausted by this point as Cameron had barely slept the night before. Me and my mum went to her friends' wedding reception for a couple of hours and stayed to see their first dance, which was lovely, and for them cutting the cake. The bride's dress was gorgeous!

We went straight from there to meet everyone else for the birthday meal at TGI Fridays, where my cousin works. We shared a couple of bottles of wine so I ended up feeling quite tipsy. After our meal I treated my cousin to a champagne cocktail, and I had a Bellini, which I had never tasted before but was yummy.

My dinner- yum!

The next morning, bright and early (and not getting my extra hour in bed as a result!) we left for London and met up with my dad and sister at my nan's house in Charlton. We got a bus into central london which was an awful experience as it went through a really horrible area of London, the bus was majorly crowded, and we stood the whole hour and twenty minutes journey! When we got there I was happy just to be off the bus, so I didn't mind the walking, which we did a lot of over the day.

being a tourist walking around London!

We ended up in Regent Street and found a pub to have some lunch and drinks. My brother and his girlfriend came and met up with us. I hadn't seen them for a long time, so it was lovely to catch up. After lunch we went for a walk to Covent Garden, but never quite made it there and ended up walking in a massive circle (much to everyone's annoyance) when I went to meet the guy I have been going out with as he was also in London with his friends.

Walking Through Chinatown

After having a quick drink with him, we all went our seperate ways and me, my mum, Cameron, my dad and sister all walked back to get the horrible bus back to Charloton. By this point it was really dark, even though it was only about 6pm. Luckily we got seats on the way back, but it was still really crowded and I was glad to be off it. We still had a 45 minute journey back to my dad's in Essex. The X Factor results were on whilst we were driving back, so I was watching my Twitter and Facebook timelines to keep up with what was happening.

When we got back my sister wanted to watch the show anyway, so we watched it on plus one and my dad made us bacon baguettes, yum! We watched a bit more tv before bed, I was actually knackered!

The next day we were up early as my sister was going to school. We had some breakfast and had a chilled out morning watching old horror films (which were not horror at all but just really funny in how badly made they were!). We watched half of Frankenstein and The Bride of Frankentein. We watched Pretty Woman and my dad made us some lunch, which was really yummy. We drove back mid afternoon and last night I had a relaxed night, away from Trick or Treaters, watching TV with the guy I have been seeing.

Was a very busy, but good weekend! What did you all get up to this weekend? I hope you had a good time whatever you did!

Weekend Plans: It's London, Baby!

This weekend is going to be a good one! Tomorrow is my cousin's 20th birthday and we are all going out for a big family meal in the evening and for drinks afterwards.

Then on the Sunday bright and early, we are travelling to London to my nan's house in Charlton where we will be meeting up with my dad and little sister and travelling into central London to meet up for lunch with my brother and his girlfriend who are staying in London for the weekend.

Sunday night we are staying at my dad's in Essex before travelling back home on Monday afternoon.

I haven't seen my brother or his girlfriend for a couple of months as they live in Newcastle, and haven't seen my dad and sister for even longer, so I am excited to be seeing everyone. It should be a fun weekend, even though I am missing the X-Factor, nooooo!!

What have you got planned this weekend?

Exciting Weekend Plans!

Ok so tomorrow morning I am going to sunny Brighton with my mum and Cameron to go and drop some baby clothes to a friend, and then meet up with my best friend Aimee who I haven't seen in months and months and who has just moved there.

We are staying in a lovely hotel right on the seafront and Aimee has very kindly offered to look after Cameron with her boyfriend whilst me and my mum go out for a meal, which will be really nice. The rest of the time we are there will be spent doing the whole tourist thing. My mum wants to go to the Pavillion and I have my sights set on the arcade and have heard some amazing things about a museum there as well.

We are coming back Saturday night, but I am fitting in as much as I can in the time we are away as I don't get away as much as I would like (although having said that, we go away again a couple of weekends later to visit my dad and brother in London).

I am most excited to be seeing Aimee and meeting my friend Louise, who is ready to give birth at any moment!

I won't be blogging this weekend, so I hope you all have a great weekend whatever you get up to!
