2011 Conclusion/2012 Introduction Blog Challenge: Day 1: What has been your most memorable moment in 2011?

My most memorable moment of 2011 has to be getting my results back from Uni to say that I had passed with a 2:2 and meaning I would be graduating with the rest of my year.

With my Uni friend Abi and Cameron on our Graduation day

I know I went on about this a lot before the big day, but surely this just proves how big a deal it was to me? I am really proud of managing to finish my degree with Cameron as a newborn and it has definitely made me more determined than ever to get a job and make something of my life. Being a stay at home mum is definitely not for me.

Emma-Louise BA Hons!!

So on Wednesday, after a lot of nerves, I graduated from my Event Management degree with a 2:2 BA Hons!

The day went by in a total blur and I was still nervous right up until when I got back to my seat from collecting my degree! I was wearing 5 inch heels and was terrified I was going to fall in front of everyone.

My graduation outfit

On top of this, we had to 'bow' to the Chancellor which scared me, as I was sure I would forget to do it. Luckily I was worrying for no reason as it all went fine and I am now the proud owner of a degree.

I had some lovely photos taken by my mum, and Uni friend Abi. I opted not to have the professional photos taken as the packages STARTED at £95! I am happy with the photos I had taken and pleased that both my mum and dad, and Cameron were there to watch me on stage.

In the afternoon my mum, me and Cameron went for lunch at a local restaurant and I had one of my favourites- Fajitas!

Having a well deserved glass of wine

It was yummy! Great day!

To anyone graduating this year, good luck and don't worry, it will all go fine!

I Graduate Tomorrow- Eeek!!

Ok, so I know I have been banging on about this for the past couple of months, don't blame me, blame the Uni who decided to have their graduation so long after term finished! I have been a mix of nervous and excited about the graduation but the nerves have definitely overtaken.

I am claustrophobic so hate crowds, and this place is going to be packed. Not only that, but as I had Cameron in my final year, I lost touch with pretty much everyone on my course, so unlike some people's graduations where it is a chance to meet up with friends who you may not have seen in a few months, mine is going to just be a bit awkward! Add in the ex boyfriend who will no doubt be bringing along the psycho wife who threatened to beat me up when I was pregnant, and it starts sounding more like a scene from a soap than a celebration of completing my degree. I just want to get the day over with to be honest. I am proud of myself for completing my degree and getting a 2:1, but I am much more excited for my celebration meal on Friday with friends and family than the graduation itself.

Today I have been stressing out over what to do with my makeup for tomorrow and, after a quick ask around on Facebook, think I have decided on some natural looking false eyelashes with some pale brown smokey eyes and a nude lip gloss.

I want to look polished, not too done up so hopefully this will work! The outfit has been ready since September, so now all I have to do is get over the nerves, put on the silly hat and gown and pray I don't fall in front of hundreds of people.... Wish me luck!!

Graduation Outfit: Opinions Please!

This is what I am planning on wearing to my Graduation in November. I need to think what to do about the top being see through... Should I wear something under it or do I just need to change my bra? Opinions please!

These are the shoes I have bought for the graduation (and the meal afterwards!)

Friday Feelings: 23rd September

So another week has gone by, which brings me another week closer to my graduation.... It is still a way off,  but I am starting to get a little nervous. It is not going to be the first graduation I have been to, as I went to my mum's last summer when she graduated with her Masters. I was so proud of her!

It means I know what to expect, and that is what is making it worse. I hate sitting in crowds of people, and I am really nervous that I will trip or fall or something stupid in front of everyone! It will be worth it though.

I got my new phone this week and have been playing around with it, getting apps on it, downloading ringtones and music for it, and using the video on it to take some footage of Cameron which I couldn't do before! I took this film of him earlier, and used an app to edit it quickly.

As you can see, he is refusing to walk! He walked once, then reverted back to just holding onto everything whilst he did it, which is frustrating as he has been at that stage since he was 9 months old! Bless him!

Other than that, I have been shopping today for my nan's presents as it is her birthday tomorrow. We are all going out for a lovely meal tomorrow, and then watching the X Factor in the evening.

I hope everyone has some lovely plans for the weekend. Whatever you end up doing, I hope you have fun!

Looking Forward To: My Plans for the Next Couple of Months

I was totally planning on doing this as an Autumn plans post back at the start of the month, but never got round to it... I have quite an exciting couple of months coming up.

Mid October:

I am going to Brighton a mini break for the weekend to visit my best friend Aimee and her boyfriend, who have just moved up there from Cornwall! I am also going to hopefully be meeting an online friend, Louise, who is heavily pregnant, as I am giving her some of Cameron's baby clothes!

29th October:

This is my cousin Aaron's 20th birthday. I am not sure yet what his plans are, but if he is in Bournemouth for it no doubt there will be a meal at some point, and me, Aaron and wine makes for an entertaining meal!

End of October:

My brother and his girlfriend, who currently live in Newcastle, are going to be in London for the weekend and my mum and I would love to see them for a bit whilst they are there as we don't see much of them because of the distance! I think we might be going to visit my dad in Essex around this time as well, so lots of catching up and family times.

November 9th:

This is a very exciting date as it is the day I graduate! I was still unsure up until last week whether I would be passing my degree, as I was awaiting the results of my dissertation. I found out that I had indeed passed, with a 2:2, so that means I will be graduating, alongside the rest of my course! I feel very proud of myself for managing to finish my final year, with a newborn baby, and will be so pleased to stand up and accept my degree after such a long and intense year!

Mid November:

I can't tell you one of the reasons that this month will be extra exciting just yet, but it is going to be amazing! On top of that, it is one of my best friend Sealy's birthday on 16th, and my mum's on 14th, so lots of celebrations and fun times to be had.

End of November/Beginning of December:

I love this time of year in general as it is when I do my Christmas shopping! I am not one for leaving it until the last minute and getting all stressed out and squashed by the crowds! Instead I make sure pretty much everything is bought and ready for wrapping by early December, and then I will just get a few extra bits and then wrap the presents towards the end of the month so I still have something to look forward to. I am a big kid and I absolutely LOVE Christmas so this is something I am majorly looking forward to! 94 sleeps to go!! (I have an app, I am not a complete loser to sit and work that out myself!)

Do you have any exciting plans for the next couple of months? Are you excited about Christmas? Or does the mere thought of that time of year fill you with dread?
