Feeling Poorly

Ever have one of those days where you just feel absolutely awful? Like your whole body aches and the closest thing you can liken it to is being hit by a bus? That's how I have felt since yesterday. It hurts to look at lights, it hurts to move, it hurts to even think, if that's even possible. I feel exhausted all the time. In fact, it got so bad today that I had to go home early from work. I never do that. I hate having time off. I hate feeling like I've dropped the ball. Having worked from home and been a stay at home mum before you would think I would cherish time at home now I am working full time but no, I feel I am doing something wrong when I very rarely take the day off. I also find it incredibly hard to switch off. I had to force myself to go to bed and sleep for a few hours when I got in and in the end I still did packed lunches and washing up this afternoon. I know that if I don't rest properly and allow myself to get better then I will end up feeling just as bad when I am back in work, but somehow I can't quite let myself fully stop. I didn't even want to miss my boxing class tonight but I did and am currently curled up in bed watching Friends on repeat with tangerines to top up my Vitamin C.

Hopefully I will be feeling better soon as I am awful at being poorly!

Project 365 #61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67 and 68!! My Lost Week

Yet again I have been feeling too poorly to keep up to date with my blog but I am hoping to be back for good now as I am starting to feel much better. Here is what I have been up to over the last week:

#61 Sunday:

Mother's Day was spent going for a meal with my family and boyfriend to a nice hotel. We had a three course meal and there was a raffle at the end where I won a prize which was fun.

My first course: soup

#62 Monday:

I was not feeling at all well on Monday so it was yet another lazy day in for me and Cameron. We did get lots of cuddles in front of the TV and I managed to get the food shop done as well, so we got a bit of fresh air at least.

#63 Tuesday:

My boyfriend took a day off work today and we decided, after another lazy morning in front of the TV, to take Cameron to the play centre. Cameron really didn't like it, again, to begin with, but once he had got used to his surroundings he had a good time playing with my boyfriend whilst I had a rest and read some of my book.

Cameron, knackered after his play, fell asleep eating his raisins

#64 Wednesday:

As I have been feeling poorly, I have been favouring the comfort food a lot and lunch has mostly consisted of Tomato soup and bread, mmmm.

#65 Thursday:

I attempted a second lasagne and was really happy with how this one came out. It was so yummy!

#66 Friday:

I was feeling really unwell again today so I was grateful that my boyfriend finished work early and took me and Cameron out to the park in the afternoon as it was so warm and sunny. We had Subway for lunch and then Cameron played in the play park before attempting to drive us home... haha

#67 Saturday:

We went to stay at my boyfriend's parents' house in Chichester for the weekend. I had bought the Now Running CD on Amazon a couple of days before and it came in time for the car journey up there. I have no intention of using the music for running, but it has some great tracks on it. We had some lunch and went for a walk into the local town. In the afternoon I had a sleep as I was knackered and feeling unwell again and then in the evening we had a yummy roast dinner before watching new reality TV show The Voice and Take Me Out before an early night.

#68 Sunday:

We had a lovely lazy morning before some lunch and driving back home. We met up with my family at my nan's gorgeous new seafront flat in the afternoon and we got some fish and chips to eat on her balcony. It was such a hot and sunny afternoon! My cousin had some pick and mix and made me want some too so I got a cup and me and my boyfriend ate them in the evening whilst watching Due Date.

Retail Therapy Haul

As you know, I have been quite ill over the last week and unable to really do anything or go anywhere. So when I was feeling a bit better yesterday I decided to treat myself and Cameron and I went on what turned out to be quite a big spending spree. I may not like it all when I try it on, or have an attack of guilt and return some of it but this is what I bought:

For Cameron:

Bear Backpack
Grey Cardigan
Blue V Neck T Shirt

For Me:

From H&M:

Black Logo T-Shirt
Black cut out long sleeved top
Black and cream polka dot nightdress
Pink long lounge top
Black leggings

From New Look:

Blue cardigan
Cream Wrap Cardigan
White Logo T-Shirt
Blue Jeans

Little Extras:

Lipgloss (H&M)
Remember Me Book (Waterstones)

I also bought some more presents for my mum for Mother's Day tomorrow which I hope she will like (I won't say what in case she reads this!)

Apologies and Project 365 #58, 59, 60 Poorly Blogger

First of all, I feel like a terrible blogger for not posting in so long but I have a good excuse, promise...

Since the weekend I have been feeling unwell and this got about a million times worse by Wednesday. I phoned NHS direct who told me to get another doctors appointment. The doctor thought I might have a UTI and I had a high temperature so I was sent home to come back in the next morning. My boyfriend bought me a bunch of flowers and a teddy bear to cheer me up.

My lovely flowers and the slightly freaky purple monkey from my boyfriend

That night I was attempting to cook dinner when the pain got a lot worse and I ended up doubled over in pain unable to walk. My boyfriend took me to A and E as I was crying in pain. We ended up being there for five hours which was not fun.. The doctor gave me antibiotics for the infection and paracetemol for the pain and I was booked in to the hospital for Friday morning to have a check up.

Thursday was spent trying to cope with an eighteen month old wanting to play when I was unable to move from the amount of pain I was in, not fun! I felt so bad as well as Cameron deserves to play and have fun but I couldn't actually do anything with him. It was agony. I attempted to distract him with cbeebies and I also found out that I could watch YouTube videos on our TiVo box which amused him when he saw me on the TV (it was a novelty to me to if I'm honest haha).

Me on Tv!

By Friday morning I was feeling a little better but still not great. The hospital appointment took ages but they think that the antibiotics should help me. I managed to go shopping in the afternoon and spent way too much making myself feel better (I will do a haul post soon to show you what I got).

Last night I was in a lot of pain again and my temperature was high. My boyfriend ordered Pizza Hut and went out to get me cheesecake and even put on Bridget Jones for us to watch to make me feel better but I ended up falling asleep in front of the TV, I was shattered.

Pizza Hut therapy... half and half of ham and pineapple and pepperoni

Hoping the drugs start working properly and I feel much better this weekend.

Feeding a Cold....

I have been feeling awful for the last four days with a bad head cold, cough, sore throat, shivers and a temperature- the works! My boyfriend has had the same thing too, which sucks. We are crossing our fingers we feel better for tomorrow when we go to London for the weekend, and I have been trying every remedy and old wives tale going to try and get myself back to full health including drinking Cameron's orange juice cartons and last night cooking myself some yummy Fajitas to 'feed my cold'....

I don't think they helped, but they certainly were yummy!

I'm Poorly....again!!

So I told you all about my weekend plans in Brighton... well, in the end it turned out to be a bit of a disaster when I ended up getting very ill on Friday evening.

I had been feeling a bit unwell since I arrived, with a sore throat and a bit achey, but it wasn't until we arrived back at the hotel that evening that I was shivering and feeling absolutely awful. I got straight into bed and then spent the night tossing and turning, hallucinating with a fever. I ended up stripping all my clothes off but kept going from hot to cold, and I was sweating loads as well. It was an awful night.

In the morning my throat was in agony, I couldn't swallow without a huge amount of pain, and I still felt absolutely awful, achey and weak. My mum got me an appointment at a local doctors surgery and, after having our breakfast at lightening speed, we went to find out what was wrong with me.

Turns out I have severe tonsilitis and I was given strong antibiotics to get rid of it. I have taken 3 tablets so far and am feeling a little better. I am so fed up that it totally ruined my weekend away though. I did still have a good time on the Friday, but Saturday was mostly spent lying in a park in the sun. We did go for lunch with my friend Aimee though, and I met my friend Louise briefly, though as she is pregnant, I didn't want to stay for too long in case I gave her my germs.

The car journey back was a bit of a blur as I slept most of it. We got home a lot earlier than I originally planned, but it turned out ok as I watched the X Factor before getting an early night. I am hoping that I get over this pretty soon as I have only just got better from the flu. My immune system is obviously pretty weak at the moment. Any tips for building it up again would be most appreciated!

Out with the Healthy Eating, in with the Man Food....

Ok, so being ill doesn't exactly make me want to be on a healthy eating regime, so I have been eating a lot of bad food.... This evening I had this:

.....And it was delicious!! I usually don't like chips or burgers... but this was just what I needed! Lots of carbs and lots of ketchup!

Outfit of the Week

So I have been feeling like crap all week and not in the mood to dress up, but today I decided I had to pull myself together and take Cameron out for a walk. It has been a nice sunny day in Bournemouth today but quite breezy and cold as well so this is what I wore (excuse the face, I felt like rubbish!)...

Red Vest Top: New Look
Grey Jumper: Topshop
Jeans: Bay Trading

Feeling Very Poorly

Since I blogged the other day about feeling under the weather, I have started feeling a lot worse!

I have the flu.... which is not fun usually, but when I have Cameron to look after alone all day, it is even less fun! I am so weak that I could not even move for most of yesterday. I am so grateful that my mum allowed me to come and stay over at hers last night and she helped with Cameron so that I could rest.

My mum is amazing :)

I am feeling a tiny bit better today, but still really weak, and now my chest is quite tight. I am spending most of the day on the settee sans makeup and feeling very sorry for myself. Cameron has CBeebies on but I will be forcing myself out of the house this afternoon, as I did yesterday as well, so that we both get some fresh air.

Cameron is being so adorable. Yesterday I was so weak and felt so pathetic that I started crying and he came and climbed up on top of me and gave me a huge cuddle. Was so cute!

I have cancelled my exercise class tonight and am focussing on being right better by the weekend so we can do lots of fun stuff to make up for being housebound.

Picture of the Day: October 3rd

I haven't felt totally 100% for the last couple of days but after doing my photoshoot this morning, and pushing myself a little harder than I maybe should have, I have started feeling awful! I have a bad head cold and it has just really taken it out of me and made me feel weak and helpless. I have stocked up on throat sweets and paracetemol, and am making Fajitas tonight to try and feed my cold.... It's a shame as it was another gorgeous day in Bournemouth today, but I couldn't enjoy it!
