In my opinion, it was better. I absolutely cannot stand Cheryl Cole, so the fact that she was missing was a huge bonus to begin with and I actually really liked Tulisa and Kelly Rowland on the panel. I was less keen about Gary Barlow, as I found his Simon act way too forced and scripted, I think he will be getting on my nerves a lot in coming weeks. I don't really like Louis Walsh, and would have preferred Simon to him.
Overall, the first show was a good start, I loved the 16 year old Irish girl who sang Ellie Goulding's version of Your Song especially, and I look forward to watching the rest of the series. As a mummy, I don't really have much of a 'social' life at the moment, so an excuse to stay in of a Saturday night is perfect! Great feel good TV and an excuse for a cheeky glass of wine and some yummy pizza, mmmm....

I was the exact same hun, I wasn't going to watch it but me and Liam settled down on Saturday and watched it and now I feel hooked!
ReplyDeleteI wasn't to sure about the new line up, as I loved Simon and Dannii, I agree that it is better without Cheryl - ick! But after watching the first show I do rather like the new judges, I found Gary really witty and cheeky with some comments but I did like him before the show anyway.
Cannot wait to see what talents come from the show this year :) I have already said that I think it may be a guy, but who knows hehe! xxx
I can't wait to see they all gel with each other and the arguments start lol!
