Cameron's Weaning Progress

Cameron absolutely loves his food! He has two small meals a day, at lunchtime and then around 4pm (as eating too late can mean babies don't digest their food properly before bedtime). I try to give him a more savoury meal at lunchtime and then something sweeter later on as a sort of dessert.

I have been giving him food from the Stage 1 selection of the Ella's Kitchen range and he has tried a lot of them now, his favourites being Carrots, Apples and Parsnips; Strawberries and Apples; and Sweet Potatoes, Broccoli and Carrots. The only one he has hated was Butternut Squash, Carrots, Apples and Prunes and to be honest, I don't blame him, prunes sound yucky!

As Cameron is 6 months in just under 2 weeks time, I am thinking it is now time to move away from the food sachets for day to day use and to start blending up his food myself! I will be starting this next week which is very exciting. I am going to look up recipes online and shop for ingredients at the weekend, hoping to start blending sometime next week.

I will still be using the Ella's Kitchen sachets when I am out or in a hurry as both me and Cameron love them. They are organic as well and only contain the ingredients and no additives, so I know exactly what is going into Cameron's body.

Check back to my Blog next week to see how I do with the blender! And to see whether Cameron likes his new foods!

I read the blog of the baby (now almost 2 year old) in the post, and their friend, who writes this food blog, decided to help them out when she was being introduced to solids. There are some interesting and tasty recipes.
